Terms of Use

What MAPLE & MAIN does, what it does not do, and how we earn.

We do not sell directly

MAPLE & MAIN is a discovery, comparison and referral platform. Every purchase, booking and deposit is made directly with the seller, farm, operator or dealer you choose.

We are not the merchant of record. We do not take payment for a seller's product, we do not hold funds in escrow, and we do not process reimbursements or refunds of any kind.

Shipping, returns, exchanges, warranty and product liability are the responsibility of the seller. Their published terms govern your purchase.

How we are paid

Membership: a claimed business pays a monthly membership priced to that business, starting at $99 CAD, agreed in writing before anything is charged. Members pay no commission on referred sales.

Big ticket and pass-through: a lead fee applies to qualified big-ticket introductions, and a platform fee applies where a sale is completed through our checkout. Both are agreed in advance.

Affiliate commission: where a seller runs a public affiliate or partner program, our outbound links may carry our referral identifier and the network pays us.

A business that has not claimed its listing and accepted our terms is never invoiced. Its listing stays live and its referrals are simply recorded.

Placement is never for sale. Sponsored positions are labelled, and the Canadian Score™ cannot be bought.

Cancellation and billing periods

Every paid plan on MAPLE & MAIN, including business memberships and Creators directory listings, can be cancelled at any time from your billing portal.

Cancelling stops future billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged from the next cycle onward. We do not prorate or refund the period in progress.

Annual plans work the same way: cancelling stops the renewal, it does not refund the remaining months of a year already prepaid. Once the paid period ends, listings and member features are switched off.

Listings and claiming

We list Canadian businesses from public information so shoppers can find them. A listing does not imply a partnership.

An owner can claim a listing at any time to correct details, add products, see the referrals we have sent and opt into the commission programme. Owners can also ask to be removed.

Canadian Score™ and accuracy

The Canadian Score™ is our own assessment of ownership, manufacturing and ingredients. It is not a government certification and can be corrected when a business provides evidence.

We work to keep information accurate but cannot guarantee prices, stock, availability or third-party claims.
