MAPLE & MAIN is a discovery and referral marketplace operated by Cabier Consulting. We help shoppers find Canadian products, businesses, farms and travel operators.

Account details you give us: email, display name, home province and city.

Shopping preferences you choose: categories, verticals, origin strictness and values such as Indigenous-owned or farm-direct.

Activity on the platform: searches, scans, saved items, product and business views, and clicks that hand you off to a seller site.

Business applications: company details, ownership declarations, registration references and any evidence you upload.

Technical data: device type, browser, approximate region and pages visited.

To match products, businesses and seasonal picks to your preferences.

To calculate and explain the Canadian Score™ and to review business applications.

To measure the referrals we send to sellers, which is how we are paid.

To keep the platform safe, detect abuse and fix problems.

We use AI to interpret searches, identify scanned products, draft listing information from a seller's public website and pre-assess business applications.

AI outputs are assistive. A person reviews decisions that affect a business listing. We do not use your personal information to train third-party models.

When you click through to a seller, we record that a referral happened and send you to their site. That seller's own privacy policy then applies.

Where a seller runs an affiliate program, the link may carry our referral identifier. We never share your identity with a seller unless you submit an inquiry to them.

We share data with service providers who host our platform, send our email and provide AI processing, under contract and only as needed.

We use essential storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language choice. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages help people find Canadian options.

You can access, correct, export or delete your account data at any time from your account page or by writing to info@cabierconsulting.com.

We keep application and referral records as long as needed for our commercial and legal obligations, then delete them.

This policy is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law.

For residents of Quebec, we comply with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec Law 25), including the right to withdraw consent and to request anonymization or deletion.

For visitors from the European Union, the United Kingdom and other jurisdictions with comparable data-protection law, we apply equivalent standards consistent with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including lawful basis, data-subject rights and cross-border transfer safeguards.
